How each experience scales
You only pay for the value each one delivers.
Staff scales with the size of your team. Guest scales with how much your guests actually listen, not how many walk in. Annual is the default and the cheaper option; flip to monthly to compare.
Scales with your team
A seat is a person, identified on first listen, not a login to share. Billed on your current roster, never on turnover.
Scales with engagement
Per location. You pay for genuine listening, not how many guests walk in. Unlimited stories and guides at every tier.
Start on Local; grow as engagement does. A new property has few plays at first, so you start small and move up a band only as listening sustainably grows. Same ladder for every vertical, a vineyard and a world landmark price on the same metric.
A play is one guest listening to at least 30 seconds of a story, the same bar Spotify uses to count a stream. Accidental taps under 30 seconds don't count, and your team testing it never counts. Everything else is a play, replays included, because a guest who listens again or shares it with the table is exactly the engagement you want. Every billable play is itemized in your dashboard, so the meter is auditable down to the story.
Pricing FAQ
The questions you're probably thinking about.
How does Geocast pricing work?
Per location. Start free with the Grader to see what AI says about you. Foundation ($99/location/mo on the annual plan) is the verified base. From there you add experiences: Staff is priced per active person, Guest by how much your guests actually listen (plays), and Events per event. Annual is the default and the cheaper option; monthly costs a bit more.
What counts as a play?
A play is one guest listening to at least 30 seconds of a story, the same bar Spotify uses to count a stream. Accidental taps under 30 seconds never count, and your team testing it never counts. Everything else is a play, replays included, a guest who listens again or shares it with friends is exactly the engagement you're paying for. Because the count drives your bill, every gray area goes in your favor, and every billable play is itemized in your dashboard, so the meter is auditable down to the story.
What's the difference between Foundation and Experiences?
Foundation makes AI tell the truth about your property, the verified, source-receipted facts layer. Experiences are what that truth flows into: your team (Staff), your guests (Guest), and your one-off moments (Events). Foundation is the spine; experiences are the audiences.
Do I have to buy everything at once?
No. You buy Foundation plus whichever experience you want, then add the rest when you're ready. Many properties start with Staff because it's internal and the lowest risk, then expand to Guest once they've felt it work.
How is the Staff experience priced?
Per active person. Your first 5 people are free, then it's a few dollars per active seat, billed on your current roster, never on cumulative turnover. A seat is a real person, identified by name and phone the first time they listen, so the thing that drives the cost is the thing that delivers the value: people actually trained.
What stops someone from sharing one staff seat with the whole team?
The product itself. The reason you buy Staff is the per-person completion record, who finished food-safety, who finished alcohol-service, for your own compliance. A seat is tied to a person (name and phone, no password), and completion tracks against that person. Share one seat across the whole team and your compliance log shows one name, which is useless to the manager paying for it. We also watch for one identity logging in from many devices at once. Honest seat counts are the only counts that are actually worth anything to you.
We're seasonal. How does that work?
Commit annually on your average headcount for the discount. Peaks above your commitment true-up at the same rate; troughs stay covered. It's built for properties that swing from 500 to 5,000 staff across a year, so a slow season never overcharges you and a peak never surprises you.
Is this only for hotels?
No. Foundation and Staff work for any place with a team and a location: restaurants, museums, wineries, resorts. The Guest experience is strongest wherever people explore on foot. A restaurant isn't a hotel, but the turnover problem and the AI-accuracy problem are the same.
What's the Hunt add-on?
A riddle-unlock game that plugs into any experience: gamified onboarding on Staff, a kids' treasure hunt or ghost hunt on Guest, a corporate scavenger hunt on Events. It's a clean add-on from $99/mo per hunt, so the people who want a game get one and everyone else isn't paying for it.
What about voice minutes?
Talk-to-Geocast minutes (the voice that runs your admin) are included on every plan, then $0.30/min beyond the cap. It's a cost-control footnote, not the thing you're buying, so it sits below the experiences in how we price.
Can I cancel any time?
Monthly plans cancel any time, effective at the end of the period. Annual plans are pro-rated within 30 days. No cancellation fee, ever.
